With a few more rounds of Hearthstone completed pre-show, Matt and Jeremy talk about some of their recent hits and misses. Jeremy has been taking advantage of PS4 deals by picking up some games including Rayman Legends and Apotheon (free on PS+ during February), a game inspired by Greek Mythology. Corey walks us through some of his Hearthstone and MTG experiences, while Mathew is still rocking the hell out of Destiny. He also downloaded the Heroes of the Storm beta and Warren attempted to show him the ropes. Finally, Mathew held a playtest for his upcoming card game, Smash, this past weekend at The Game Chamber.
While we play Super Smash Land we discuss Heartharena, a new website to help deck drafting for Hearthstone arena runs. Mathew has been into League of Legends which has seen some cosmetic additions for the Chinese New Year. He’s also still into Destiny and Minecraft. Andrew has been playing Costume Quest 2, Minecraft with lots of mods, Dying Light and Majora’s Mask for the new 3DSXL. Warren also tried Dying Light and played a bit of Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition.
We round out the show with a discussion about The Order: 1886, its relatively short playtime and the ensuing backlash.
This week Warren been playing Heroes of the Storm and loving The Lost Vikings characters that were just released for it. He’s also been building up his gold in Hearthstone to enter the arena. Ian’s been into The Force Unleashed II as well as Castle Crashers. Corey has been playing lots and lots of Minecraft with his son, experimenting with different mods. He’s also been playing a healthy dose of Hearthstone. Matt is still heavily into Hearthstone but also spent a great deal of time with Geometry Dash, a game that he originally got for his kids but has really started taking a liking to lately.
Games played this week include Heroes of the Storm, Dumb Ways to Die 2, Crossyroads, Minecraft, Speef and Destiny. We round out the show with The Great Hearthstone Etiquette Debate.
This week we find ourselves still being drawn to the likes of Hearthstone and (for some reason) Dota 2. We also talk about the retro-inspired OlliOlli (which is Tony Hawk meets Skate or Die), tabletop gaming including D&D, Ascension, Dixit and a healthy dose of Destiny.
After last week’s full house, we’re running a tight crew this week due to illness and work schedules. Nevertheless, we have plenty to say about MTG, Hearthstone, Super Mario 3D World, Dota 2, Destiny and Mathew’s upcoming card game, Smash.
